What Pros Wear: Brandon Phillips (Bat, Batting Gloves, Cleats, Glove, Sunglasses, Wristbands)
Read our exclusive feature on Phillips’ new model here.
Last year, Brandon wore the 2014 version of the “DATDUDE,” which is available too.
Or you can use Wilson’s Custom Glove Shop to make a 1786 to your liking, which is the model Phillips’ glove is based off of.
Below, have a look at Phillips handing his glove off to Wilson glove guru Aso to break in. It’s something you would expect to be a pretty personal, almost sacred process, but Phillips does not look disappointed with Aso’s work.
UA Spine Highlight ST (first version) and Other UA Cleats
Phillips seems to get an Under Armour refill every season with exclusive colorways and custom designs. We’ve seen him in the Spine Highlight (two photos up) with custom Reds colors, and also the unknown cleat in the above photo among others. The Spine Highlight looks like its been discontinued but is still available for now.
Under Armour Yard VII in custom colorways
Just like his cleats, Phillips gets spoiled by UA with custom styles and colors. The photo above is from DAT DUDE’s Instagram, which shows the UA Yard in Reds colors. There are various colorways available at the above link.
Phillips has been swinging a black Louisville Slugger C271 model for a while now. We’ve seen him swinging ash lately, though he has used maple in the past. Based on the photo, Phillips swings a 33.5/31.5. The C271 is a very popular model, and is available online.
Phillips wears all kinds of stuff on his arms. Aside from his DatDude wristbands (below, not available), he also wears Power Balance wristbands on both arms (one red and one white). These are available online.
Also check these out too, a one-of-a-kind these days but a bunch of guys had these back in the 90s:
There’s a guy in the comment section who has mentioned that these will be available on his site at some point but its been like two years and I’ve seen nothing to this point.
