What the Pro Wears: Robinson Cano (Glove, Sunglasses)
THIS POST HAS BEEN UPDATED HERE.
The best player at his position, Robinson Cano makes plays that no one else in the game makes, and he makes them look easy. Jim Leyland, not the type of guy you see heaping praise on anyone, let alone an opposing player, used words “smooth,” “easy,” and “effortless” to describe Cano in a recent interview. Rather than yap about it, here’s what Leyland is talking about (a lot of defensive plays in this video, but unfortunately you’ll have to sit through that ugly swing of his)…
Cano is the only guy we’ve seen who wears a Spalding glove. The model is a 42-001RC and is available online. Cano won the 2010 Gold Glove Award and if it weren’t for competition with rival Dustin Pedroia, he’d be running away with it for the foreseeable future.
Cano has been seen playing with a custom pair of Nike Show-x2 sunglasses. Cano’s glasses seem to be all white with blue tinted lenses, which isn’t a combination that we could find available online. We did also catch him wearing an all-black pair early in the 2011 season, which are available online.
With Cano, stylish is part of the package. Here’s his off-the-field uniform (at the GQ Gentleman’s Ball).
Unfortunately, Giorgio Armani 2-piece suits are not available on Eastbay.
